The Tessuti Verona Jacket course I've just attended was excellent. Claire made it enjoyable and fun with lots of tips and advice. The machines available to use are also wonderful to use. I can highly recommend this course, thanks Claire.

My daughter and I used Claire's sewing room to finish sewing some Xmas gifts. The sewing machines and all facilities in this room are superb. Claire is helpful and hospitable throughout. We shall return to complete another sewing project. Thanks Claire

My daughter & I were both really impressed with the facilities provided by Claire. The digital Brother sewing machine was an absolute dream to use. There was everything we needed to finish our project from rotary cutters, cacho pens, pins through to ironing boards & irons. Claire was really informative throughout & supportive when we were unsure.

Christmas cracker workshop. Great fun session, clear instructions. Lots of good fabric choices. Really enjoyed the session

I am so thrilled that I did this 4 x 2.5 hour session sewing class and even more delighted with the Jacket that I made! Claire's teaching style is clear and structured but relaxed, friendly and fun. I was more than slightly challenged with this pattern (seam type) but we had ample time to practice and complete the garment. The Stitch School is very well equipped with top notch Sewing machines and accessories. Her shop stocks some fabulous fabrics, yarns, accessories etc and a wide range of sewing machines. Great experience in a lovely environment.

I bought my sewing machine from the Sewistry and wanted to improve my sewing skills. I wanted to push myself. The jacket we made was a simple style but not a simple make. I really enjoyed the experience. I would definitely like to do another project,

Clair was brilliant, explaining everything step by step. I learned a lot about pattern cutting and my sewing machines. I look forward to doing another course with you in the future.

It was useful to be able to try out the 2 machines and it giae me chance to think sbout the one I would be happy with.

Fabulous class, very precise instructions

I have learned so much on this 4 session course, skills, techniques, tips and tricks which will help me in my new found hobby, Sewistry. The Stitch School is very well equipped with good lighting and the support from Claire and Valerie is top notch. Always happy to answer questions during the course or at other times too. I found the whole experience totally engaging and very rewarding. And I made a garment!!

What a great time I had making my first sewing project. The sewing school room is nicely set up with good quality equipment and the training from Valerie and Claire is very well delivered. Lots of helpful tips and tricks as well as careful detailed tuition, with printed instructions to take away. The projects and classes available are just tempered right for beginners level. The shop offers a nice range of fabrics, yarns, thread and accessories galore. The A0 pattern printing facility is very useful. I’m looking forward to seeing more classes advertised. Thoroughly enjoying my new found hobby.

I had a super time learning new skills with Valerie. I have since made 2 more bags and I am really pleased with them. Thank you.

It was such a lovely experience, you were both so warm and welcoming. I would have no hesitation in coming back to the shop or to another class. I had an amazing time and would 100%recommend to anyone interested in developing their sewing skills.

Thanks once more for enjoyable "zipped bag"making course. My previous experience was on the "cracker making" course last year. Valerie was her usual patient self and I am looking forward to putting my new found skills into practice.

Very friendly welcome from Val and Claire as always. As well as learning how to make a cracker I learned lots of tips to make things easier at home. And the mince pies were amazing.

Well thought through experience . Excellent tuition. Lots of useful tips given. Finished item( Christmas cracker) looked very professional . Great refreshments.

Enjoyable time learning how to cut out, sew and assemble a cracker. Sufficient materials to make 3 more at home. Because Valerie was kind and patient not "crackers"by the end! Would consider another course as a result.

Making a buttonhole closure cushion was my second workshop with The Sewistry stitch school and I'm feeling so proud of what I've achieved! Claire is very patient teacher who gives lots of encouragement, praise and very useful tips. I highly recommend these classes.

Great session really enjoyed it and got me past the too scared to try stage. Booked on my next one, make a cushion straight afterwards

My neice and I have now been to two of Etty-Lilly's workshops. 'Making a zipped pouch' with Valerie as our teacher and 'Making a button hole closure cushion' with Claire as our teacher. Both teachers are patient and kind and an absolute WEALTH of knowledge! The classes we have been on have been really good fun and extremely informative. We've learnt so much and gained lots of sewing confidence! 🤩 We are booked on yet another workshop next week and I can say with confidence it wont be our last! 😍 Thank you Claire and Valerie for your FANTASTIC workshops! 🥰

This was the perfect follow up course to "How to drive your sewing machine". It was good practice of the tips from the first course, and then covered how to measure and cut fabric, follow instructions, make buttonholes and sew on buttons (which I thought I knew but learned a much better technique. I'm very much looking forward to my next course.

I've enjoyed all the courses that I have done. Claire and Val are both very patient and supportive of us beginners.I would recommend to anyone wanting to learn to sew or learn different skills. Great to have written instructions to take away too.

Everything was well organised. Val had the pattern and material ready, and clear instruction sheets. She was very helpful and patient. A most enjoyable session.
