Come and get cosy with me in the studio whilst we explore Slow Stitching. It's less a process and more an desire driven practice that helps you to slow down and focus. It's rooted in hand sewing, mending, and traditional quilting. It's all about feeling the needle in your hand and making deliberate choices in which fabrics and stitches to use in the moment. It's deliberate, slow, and meaningful. It's about creating an artwork that speaks to you. It doesn't need to make sense, unless you want it to. Some people prefer to plan out a design, some just pick things up to use because they like them. It's all about trusting yourself to make something lovely. If you're interested but thinking pin badges aren't your thing, perhaps it can be used as a keyring etc. Make 2026 the year you create for the sake of it and just for yourself. I have plenty of materials will be available for you to use, but if you have things you'd like to bring feel free. 2 hours approx Under 16's are welcome but must be accompanied by someone 18+ who is also attending.
