Have you been inspired to take up or return to sewing but no idea of your way around a sewing machine? Suitable for the absolute beginner, and those who are rusty, let Claire will take you through the basics. Included but not limited to: Anatomy and terminology Fit a new needle Learn to thread the machine Fill and fit the bobbin Stitch selection and basic uses of the most used stitches How to adjust length & width of stitches and why you might want to Create a mini stitch book to take away as a reminder of the information taught. Once you've learned the basics, and completed your stitch book to help you remember what's what, we'll make a super simple project to help you see what you've picked up. 2 hours approx. All materials will be provided, including usage of our Brother A150 sewing machines. Under 16's are welcome but must be accompanied by someone 18+ who is also attending.
