Have you been inspired to take up or return to sewing but no idea of your way around a sewing machine? Maybe a class format isn't for you, or at times not suitable. Get in touch and I'll see if I can see you at a time more suited to you. Great for the absolute beginner, and those who are rusty, let Claire will take you through the basics. Included but not limited to: Anatomy and terminology Fit a new needle Learn to thread the machine Fill and fit the bobbin Stitch selection and basic uses of the most used stitches How to adjust length & width of stitches and why you might want to Create a mini stitch book to take away as a reminder of the information taught. Once you've learned the basics, and completed your stitch book to help you remember what's what, we'll make a super simple project to help you see what you've picked up. 2 hours approx. All materials will be provided, including usage of our Brother A150 sewing machines. Under 18's will only be allowed if booked along with an accompanying adult. Cancellation policy - 2 days required for a full refund. If you cancel inside the 2 day period, no refund will be issued unless we manage to fill your place, please be assured all efforts will be made by us to do so but no guarantee of this can be given. Please try to arrive around 10 minutes before the session start time to allow us to say hello, get you a drink made, allocate you a machine and settle into the studio.
