Learn a new skill with our Snappy Wristlet class and make carrying your essentials easy and stylish! This easy beginner project is suitable for all levels of sewists, but this class is aimed at one young person and one accompanying parent/grandparent/guardian (for an adults only session see the beginners series instead). You will not be able to drop your under 18's off and leave them here. The price is for 2 of you to attend the class together - due to the limitation of my booking system, it will show as one place only but please be assured I will be expecting 2 of you! We recommend a minimum age of 11, but you know your young person best. Sewing involves many sharp/hot objects so you should be confident they can control these. They will also be expected to keep up with the adults in the room so you should bear this in mind too. What to expect/what's included: - A selection of fabrics suitable for the project to choose from - Learn to look at basic pattern pieces and 'read' them - How to cut out your fabric - How to pin or clip your fabric for sewing - What is interfacing and how to use it - Pressing and why it isn't the same as ironing - How to sew straight stitch using a sewing machine - Bagging out or turning your project out - Topstitching - All materials will be provided, including usage of our Brother A150 sewing machines. What’s not included: - In depth tuition on how to use the sewing machines, they will be set up and threaded for you Cancellation policy - 2 days required for a full refund. If you cancel inside the 2 day period, no refund will be issued unless we manage to fill your place, please be assured all efforts will be made by us to do so but no guarantee of this can be given. Please try to arrive around 10 minutes before the session start time to allow us to say hello, get you a drink made, allocate you a machine and settle into the studio.
